No Limits (Hqn) Mass Market Paperback
I've finished "No Limits" the 1st book in her Ultimate series by Lori Foster.
A surprise inheritance reunites a mixed martial arts fighter with the woman he’s never forgotten in NO LIMITS, (HQN Books; $7.99) the first in a smoldering new series from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster.
Cannon Colter is quintessential hero material: chiseled jawline, shredded body — the works. He’s also the guy who rescued Yvette Sweeny from kidnappers, only to put an end to her romantic dreams. These days, she’s older, smarter, determined to face whatever life throws her way. Even the prospect of sharing a house and business with Cannon.
Cannon knew Yvette wanted him three years ago. But she was young — and some things are worth waiting for. Thrown together by her grandfather’s legacy, he realizes how deep Yvette’s scars really go and how much danger lurks in their quiet town. As pent-up desire explodes between them, protecting her becomes the only fight that matters. And he’ll break all the rules to do it.

My Review:
Detective Logan Risk goes undercover as a construction worker to get close to Sue Meeks (aka Pepper Yates) who he believes has a connection to the unsolved killing of his best friend Jack Carmin. Sue Meeks appears to be timid, frumpy and shy and seems to be sheltered by her older brother Rowdy Meeks. We don't know why she is being sheltered or much about her life until later in the story. Rowdy is hard to find so he decides to stick close to Sue but he never thought he would start having feelings for her.
Logan also has to contend with corruption among his job department and isn't sure who can trust. When his cover is blown Pepper uses steamy unconventional means to get back at him. Dash Logan's brother and his partner Reese also have major roles in the relationship and storyline.
The romance between Logan and Pepper was very hot and steamy (it had a slow start) once it got started. It was funny and humorous when we though Pepper was this meek, mild and shy person and her interactions with Logan during this time. I was laughing at the way she would blush and stare at him.

A Perfect Storm (Hqn) [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "A Perfect Storm" the 4th book in her Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series by Lori Foster.
Product Description
He never saw her coming …
Spencer Lark already knows too many secrets about Arizona Storm, including the nightmare she survived and her resulting trust issues. But in order to expose a smuggling ring — and continue avenging his own tragic past — the bounty hunter reluctantly agrees to make Arizona a decoy. Yet nothing has equipped him for her hypnotic blend of fragility and bravery, or for the protective instincts she stirs in him.
Arizona wants to reclaim her life, which means acting as bait to lure the enemy into a trap. Sure it's dangerous, especially with a partner as distractingly appealing as Spencer. But as their plan — and their chemistry — shifts into high gear, Arizona may discover there's an even greater risk in surrendering her heart to a hero ….

My Review:
Spencer Lark and Arizona Storm meet a month ago on a sting operation where he took her opportunity to seek revenge on the women who took her innocence away. Arizona was kidnapped and sold to human traffickers and then tossed out a moving truck over the bridge. She was lucky Jackson, Dare and Trace were following them and was able to rescue her. Jackson gave her a new identity and only the core people knew who she was. She wanted to find out about the organization that had taken her and bring them down. She learned how to surveillance from them.
After the sting is over she follows Spencer to his home and watches him while he sleeps on her birthday. When he awakens they have an argument and she asks him to help her to bring down a human trafficking ring. He agrees in allowing herself to be the lure while he works with her friends to make sure she is keep safe.
I really liked how Spencer was caring and understanding about Arizona's fears about intimacy and relationships. He didn't want to hurt her and he felt the age difference between them was too great (he's 32 and she just turned 21). She's very naive and inexperienced with having relationships. Due to her tragic past she's very wary and not comfortable around men but Spencer makes her feel cherished and safe. She could be immature and juvenile at times.

Savor the Danger (Hqn) [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "Savor the Danger" the 3rd book in her Men Who Walk The Edge of Honor series by Lori Foster.

My Review:
Jackson wakes up and figures out he has been drugged and slept with Alani the girl he has been pining for since "When You Dare" the 1st book. He has no memory of last nights activities and starts questioning Alani about the details of what happened that night. He wants to know so he can do it over again.
After Alani was kidnapped she swore she wouldn't trust another guy but something about Jackson makes her melt. She thinks at first he is rejecting her after their incredible night then is convinced he was drugged and is brooding about it.
Jackson is a sexy cowboy who has many layers which he tries to hide but Alani sees right through him. Wow they really burn the sheets It was very funny how he would be in state of arousal all the time and trying to sex her up.
It was a relief when they were both being honest with their feelings for each other and how Jackson was trying to win Alani's trust and to honor the promises he made to her.
It was hilarious during the scene where we see Dare and Trace's reaction to Jackson's relationship to Alani and his masculinity.
We are introduced to two new characters Arizona Storm and Spencer Lark who's the main characters of "A Perfect Storm" the next book in the series.

My Review:
Trace Rivers is undercover and has infiltrated well know human trafficking Murray Coburn empire. He is hired as his personal bodyguard and it has taken a long time to gain his trust. He meets Priscilla Patterson who claims she is Murray's long-lost daughter and has a personal agenda with hidden secrets.
Priss has lived in a sheltered life and when her mother dies she takes it upon her self to seek revenge against the man she holds responsible for her mother's life which distracts Trace's agenda.
Trace has a vendetta against human trafficking because his sister Alicia was kidnapped in the 1st book When You Dare and was rescued by Dare. He's determined to bring down Murray and his man-hungry girlfriend Helene (Hell).
I really loved Trace's character because he was honorable, was trying to keep Priss from getting hurt and didn't taken advantage of her.
Priss on the other hand I didn't really like that much because she was quite prissy, didn't like being told what to do and she certainly ran hot and cold. I felt for her though because those searches were quite humiliating.
I really liked the romance between Trace and Priss because it was slow building and they got to know each other first before hopping into bed.
Murray and especially Helene (Hell) were very psychotic and cruel. Helene is determined to get Trace into her bed and would do anything to achieve that goal.
Please don't hate me because I really thought the scenes with Trace and Helene after he was drugged were hilarious (curious to know what was in the drugs to make him like that?)
Well written storyline, fast paced, great characters, cruel and psychotic villains.

When You Dare (Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor) [Mass Market Paperback]
I've finished "When You Dare" the first book in her Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series by Lori Foster.

My Review:
Molly was abducted and taken to Tijuana by sex slave traders. She's not the typical type of girl slavers really go after. She's older than the other girls and not as attractive. Molly is a very successful romantic suspense author who lives quietly.
Dare is on a mission to rescue his best friends sister from slave traders when he also finds Molly, beaten, abused and being held separately from the other kidnapped girls. He knows something isn't right and after the rescue mission is completed Dare is determined to find out who had Molly kidnapped and why. His sense of honor and his attraction to Molly fuels his determination to see that the person or persons responsible for hurting Molly will pay.
Dare is a good and very honorable man but he can be quite ruthless at times. When it comes to his job he has no problem shooting and killing if it's necessary. He's definitely a take charge kind of alpha male and Molly realizes she feel very safe with him and Chris.
Molly is a very independent person but she was showing very uncharacteristic traits like she was more worried about being a very polite house guest and making sure she didn't step over any bounds and stayed out everyone's way.
I really enjoyed the friendship between Dare and Chris and Dare and his girls! We also get to meet his friend Trace and Trace's sister Alani. I really enjoyed the bantering between Dare and Chris and Chris and Molly!
